Academic Profile
PhD Candidate in Marketing
UM6P - Africa Business School
Fulbright Visiting PhD Scholar · NYU Stern School of Business
I am a PhD Candidate in Marketing at Africa Business School, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), and a Fulbright Visiting PhD Scholar at the New York University, Stern School of Business (2025-2026).
My research examines online reputation management in the hospitality industry — with a particular focus on how firms respond to customer reviews, and the externalities of those responses. I work with large-scale platform data and combine econometric methods with natural language processing to study consumer-generated content at scale. My work has appeared in Tourism Management (2026), with a manuscript currently under review at the Journal of Service Research. Ongoing projects investigate the role of linguistic concreteness in shaping consumer engagement, the ability of large language models to generate culturally appropriate responses in low-resource languages, and the framing of overtourism discourse in news media.
My research has earned several prestigious honors, most notably a 'Best Paper' designation at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (2026), an award reserved for the top 10% of accepted papers and included in the Best Paper Proceedings. My work has also received the Best Paper Award at the ABS Doctoral Research Summit and a Finalist distinction at the IGPRC Global Pitching Research Competition. Beyond my research, I am an active member of the global academic community, having presented and served as a reviewer for leading international conferences including the Academy of Management, AMA, ISMS Marketing Science, EMAC, and the British Academy of Management.
